Scag Hi-Lift Blades have a much larger, and more aggressive wing on them in order to generator more airflow. They also require more horsepower to turn due to increased wind resistance. They are beneficial for cutting wet, clumpy, and thick grass. It's important to mention you might have to clean the deck more often
Scag Zero-Turn Mower's blades are made from a special material called Marbain. Marbin cutter blades are lightweight compared to common steel used for most cutter blades. Less horsepower is needed to turn the lightweight blades which provide more horsepower for cutting.
Marbain blades are more durable than typical steel blades, this means you don't have to sharpen them as often and are more resistant to bending, and sudden impacts. This translates to less maintenance and less cost for you and your customers.
All Scag Cutter Blades are Manufactured out of a unique material called Marbain. Marbain's main benefits are: lighter in weight, increased strength, increased hardness, resistant to bend or break, increased protection against damage, and stays sharper longer. Just another great feature of Scag Zero-Turn Mower blades!
Hi-Lift blades are great for when you have extremely wet conditions or you are using a non-spindle driven grass catcher. Hi-Lift blades create greater lift, pulling the grass up from it's base and slicing it. Additional deck cleaning may be required.
