The Scag Patriot is powered by a Briggs & Straton Vanguard CXI 2700 engine. This engine was built specifically for zero-turn lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment in mind.
These CXi 2700 V-Twin engines are created specifically to withstand prolonged operation in harsh conditions in zero turn mowers and other high-debris applications. Cyclonic air filtering prolongs engine life by keeping dirt out. The V-Twin architecture is similar to that of a car in that it produces greater power, is naturally balanced for less vibration, runs cooler and cleaner.
