2022 New England Honda Snow Blower Buyers Guide

It's winter in New England, and your driveway is already looking like an ice rink. If you want to avoid slipping on the ice and hurting yourself, you'll need to clear your driveway of snow. And if you don't want to spend all day in the freezing cold, shoveling. you need a Snow Blower or maybe your wife does.  One of the most common questions we get asked about snow blowers is "yeah, it's nice but can my wife use it?" and the answer is: Yes.  All of the snow blowers on our list are easy to use for people of all ages and genders!

How do I Choose The Right Snow Blower?

Brand:  If you are looking to buy a snow blower, there are several things to keep in mind. There are many brands of snow blowers out there. Some are "knock-offs" or fake products that are difficult to service. Non-branded items tend not to last very long, so try to avoid purchasing products from these companies or retailers. Stay with brands you've heard of to ensure easier servicing and repair.

Build:  The Big Box Store might have brand name snow blowers which you have heard of, at really good prices, but it's usually too good to be true. When researching Snow Blower models, they can have the same exact brand name, and same model name, but they are built differently. If a snow blower which usually costs $2,000 costs $1,200 at a big box store it's missing something. This could be certain quality parts, features, or the overall build quality is lesser.  If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Choosing the right snow blower for you comes down to a bunch of different factors, of course the major one is price.

Price: One thing a lot of customers will tell us is "Well why would I buy a $3,400 snow blower when I can get one from "big box store" for $800 and it does the same thing! The truth is, not all snow blowers are created equal.  I've talked to many customers which have said that, purchased the cheaper snow blower then come back years later and said " I wish I didn't do that"  You get what you pay for, and most of the time trying to save money at first will hurt you in the long run when it comes to dependability and service.

Usage: The size of the snow blower will depend on what you need to accomplish.  Do you have a small driveway? or is it long? How wide is your driveway? Do you want to clear paths in rough terrain? Do you need to bring it onto your deck?  Is your driveway paved? or is it rocks and sand? These are all important factors to consider.

Tracks or Tires: The answer is simple, Tracks. Who wants to mess around with tires in the freezing cold? You might have to put chains or studs on tires for more grip, you might have to worry about tire pressure. The benefits of tracks outweigh tires by so much it isn't even a question, when purchasing a two-stage snow blower, tracks is where it's at.
