Metalcraft of Mayville (Scag's Parent Company) did an absolute amazing job building the Scag Cheetah II. At first glance you notice how rugged the Scag Cheetah II is, this is due to thick gauged steel used throughout the frame and mower deck. When you combine this with high-quality welds the Scag Cheetah II's frame looks like it will last for far longer than your typical zero-turn commercial grade mower.
The Cheetah II's 61-inch deck, wide tires, and 200 pounds lighter weight compared to the Turf Tiger make it a robust yet agile machine. It's also equipped with the 5400s transaxles for smooth zero-turn driving. Long-term durability still needs to be assessed, but initial impressions are promising.
Maintenance & Aesthetics: 5/5
This Limited Edition Version of the Scag Cheetah II features a "Black Out" styling package not found on other Scag Cheetah II Models. In my opinion it's the sharpest looking Zero-Turn Mower on the market hands down. The aesthetics of the Scag Cheetah II are second to none. The combination of Cat's eye gold and Black throughout the Lawn Mowers body and deck combined with the heavy duty-steel frame and components give it extra flare and upon first glance you quickly realize how high-quality and eye catching this this lawn mower really is.
The mower's design allows for easy cleaning, especially when treated with wax. This thoughtful feature ensures that the mower stays in top aesthetic condition and potentially prolongs its life.
