To reduce the risk of injury from blade contact, circular saw blades may be used on FS brushcutters that have a limitstop, a bicycle handle and double shoulder harness and not on FS brushcutters with a "J" handle or loop handle. Other rigid blades may be used on FS brushcutters having a bicycle handle, a "J" handle or a loop handle equipped with a barrier bar. To reduce the risk of eye injury always wear proper eye protection. Always use the appropriate deflector for the type of cutting attachment, as explained in your instruction manual.

STIHL 4-MIX® engine
You can always count on STIHL to set new standards, and this time, they did it with 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine, which runs on a mixture of fuel and oil like a 2-stroke, gives you the benefits of 4-stroke power without the drawbacks. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine technology allows for quick acceleration, more power, more torque, less noise, less pollution, and more efficient use of fuel, so jobs can be done quickly, quietly, and more easily.
Multi-function control handle
The operator's hand never leaves the handle because the controls are easy and comfortable to use with the thumb.
Bike handle
When used with a harness, the bike handle makes it possible to mow the grass smoothly. The bike handle makes it easy to move the machine around, which makes it great for working on large areas and lessening the amount of work you have to do.
Anti-vibration system
Power tool handles that vibrate a lot can hurt the blood vessels in the hands and arms in the long run. Because of this, STIHL has made an effective anti-vibration system that dampens the engine's oscillations. This makes the vibrations at the handles much less noticeable.
Bike handle adjustment
The central clamp enables the ergonomic bike handle to be easily adjusted without tools to suit the height of the user. The handle can be rotated by 90°, making it more compact for transport and storage
Decompression system
Some of the pressure in the cylinder can escape through the decompression valve, so less force is needed on the starter rope.
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
At the push of a button, a small fuel pump sends fuel to the carburetor. This cuts down on how many starting strokes are needed after long breaks in operations.
Air filter with long service life
The easily accessible paper filter with a long service life means it can go for long intervals without changing. (similar to illustration)
Goggles
It is important to protect your eyes from flying particles and harmful UV radiation. Therefore a pair of safety goggles/glasses are supplied with the the machine. Note: Additional face protection must be worn when working with brushcutters.
